Nancy Hoffman Hennessey ’83

Nancy Hoffman Hennessey

Having majored in law and society at Hood College, Nancy worked for years at the College as an admissions officer, assistant director of alumni programs, and director of career services and service learning. Today, Nancy has followed her heart's calling to become an Episcopal priest and now leads as rector of the Sherwood Episcopal Church in Cockeysville, Maryland.

Nancy's life path represents the ability to answer the inner call of service. Flexibility and willingness to serve her family, community, and alma mater make Nancy a force of good in the world. Her willingness to ask herself, "Why can't I do that?" and then convert it into "I can do that!" is the exceptional quality that allows Nancy to contribute and give on so many levels.

Nancy has included a bequest intention to Hood in her will. She took steps to create a gift that will have a lasting impact on future generations of Hood students. "Hood College changed my life, and I want it to change the trajectory of student lives in ways they can't even imagine. Supporting Hood for future generations is important to me," Nancy says. "It was easier than I thought to make a gift that creates a challenging and quality learning environment that benefits future generations."

We invite you to create a lasting legacy by including Hood College in your long-term financial plans. You can be any age, make a gift of any size, and direct your gift to any purpose knowing that your generosity will make an impact on Hood students in the years to come. It's easy to do and incredibly meaningful and vital to the future of Hood.
